On 1-2 September 2018, four researchers from the Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI, Mykhailo Gonchar, Andrii Chubyk, Vitalii Martyniuk and Oksana Ishchuk, attended TeslaCamp – an open space energy innovation camp that is 100% powered by solar energy. They were there to present the results of the ENABLE.EU project’s country case studies.
Mykhailo Gonchar discussed geopolitics in gas and electricity infrastructure across Europe, its role and impact on consumers and industries.
Andrii Chubyk informed TeslaCamp participants about current trends in European energy sector development; the role of individual and collective energy choices; drivers for shifts towards low-carbon technologies in heating & cooling and prosuming; and the results of the Ukrainian case studies, including preferences regarding individual heating systems and fuel types, interest in private solar power plants and energy-saving activities.
